What is NADCAP ?
NADCAP is a leading, worldwide cooperative program of major companies designed to manage a cost effective consensus approach to special processes (such as NDT, Welding etc) and products. Also, provide continual improvement within the aerospace industry. Nadcap (Formerly known as National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is an industry-managed approach to conformity assessment for special processes in the aerospace and defense industry. This brings technical experts from industry and government.
Therefore, this program basically is to establish accreditation requirements, suppliers accreditation and to define requirements. Nadcap program is administered by the Performance Review Institute (PRI).

PRI is a Non-profit affiliate SAE International and was established in the year 1990. PRI administers the NADCAP process accreditation program for a variety of special processes in Aerospace Industry.
Nadcap program provides accreditation for special processes in the aerospace and defense industry. For example: Nondestructive testing NDT, Welding, Chemical Processing (CP), coatings, composites, electronics, Heat treating etc.,

NADCAP Audit consists of a thorough assessment for compliance to a NADCAP checklist and customer requirements. Assessment is conducted by an expert in the commodity. The auditors are chosen by the Task Group. The technical audit mainly focused on specific commodity requirements.
