Ravi Kumar Thammana, CEO, co-founder of Trinity NDT WeldSolutions Private Limited, Bangalore, India. Currently Vice-President(south), The Indian Institute of Welding-IIW India, Kolkata. A Graduate in Metallurgical Engineering from The Indian Institute of Metals, Kolkata.
His professional certifications includes, ASNT Level III in Ultrasonic testing (UT), Magnetic particle testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant testing (PT), Radiography X ray testing (RT), Visual testing (VT) and Eddy current testing (ET). Also, a certified International Welding Engineer – IWE from The International Institute of Welding (IIW).
He is a National Aerospace Standard certified NAS410 Level III in Magnetic Particle Inspection(MPI) and Penetrant Testing (FPI). Responsible level III for Aerospace NDT, NADCAP accredited Lab. A well known consulting expert in the field of nondestructive testing, welding. Serving to companies in India, Europe, Middle East and African countries.
Mr. Ravi Kumar Thammana is a Radiological Safety Officer (RSO) licensed from BARC, AERB, Mumbai. Presently serving as Member, Training Management Board(TMB) of ISNT, Chennai. Prior to graduation in Metallurgical Engineering, he passed his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government Polytechnic, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh in India. A recognized Government institution under State Board of Technical Education and Training(SBTET), Hyderabad.
Professional Career of Mr. Ravi Kumar Thammana, CEO
Initially selected under campus recruitment, started career with The KCP Limited, Vuyyuru as NDT inspector. Subsequently as QA Engineer with GS Alloy Castings, Vijayawada. He moved to Mumbai and worked with Sievert India. Presently Bureau Veritas. Delivered his duties as Quality Engineer for oil, gas project at Reliance Industries Ltd, Jamnagar Refinery in Phase 1.
Project responsible ‘Quality Engineer’ on Salaya-Mathura pipeline of Indian Oil Corporation. Got wide exposure to cross country pipeline construction, weld inspection, hydro testing. Later joined as Chief Metallurgist, NDT Engineer with Hitech Pneumatics & Heattreaters Pvt. Ltd, Peenya 2nd stage, Bengaluru.

Mr. Ravi Kumar Thammana, has over 25+ years of experience in NDT and Welding. Worked with leading companies in India. He has notable experience in qualifying welders, preparing WPS, writing procedures. He is an ASNT Level III, IWE welding consultant for companies in Gulf and African Countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Cameroon and Ghana. He is working as consultant for a number of oil and gas companies in Azerbaijan and customers in Russia.
An expert NAS410 aerospace NDT consultant for numerous manufacturing companies in India. He establishes nondestructive techniques, prepare and approve procedures. He also conducts process audits, trainer for NAS410 courses and ASNT SNT TC 1A training programs.

He has wide experience on NDT testing of castings, forgings, weld joints. He is an expert engineer for in-service, overhaul (MRO) inspection of Aerospace, Sugar and Cement plant equipment. In addition, has experience in quality control activities of pressure vessels fabrication, chemical plants, process plants, inspection of cross country pipe lines.
Ravi Kumar Thammana is currently ‘Vice President’ (South), The Indian Institute of Welding (IIW), India. He served as ‘Chairman – The Indian Institute of Welding IIW India Bengaluru branch’. Present member Central Council at IIW India, Kolkata. He is the Past Vice Chairman ISNT, Bengaluru. Jury, India skills on welding, working with Capital Goods Sector Council & Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India.
Presently, he is a member of The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), Ohio, USA, Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India)-Kolkata, Aeronautical Society of India and a Chartered Engineer. Also, Joint Secretary, The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Bengaluru chapter. A training management board (TMB) member for ISNT, head quartered at Chennai.
He is the Course Director for Pre-conference tutorials (PCT) for NDE2020, NDE2021 and NDE2022 at ISNT.

Shiva Kumar R, Director, Trinity NDT
Shiva Kumar. R co-founder is a NDT and Welding specialist. An International Welding Technologist (IWT), certified from The International Institute of Welding (IIW). Also, he is a CSWIP 3.1 certified Welding Inspector from The Welding Institute(TWI), UK.
He has over 24 years of professional experience in quality control inspection, welder qualifications, WPS, PQR and welding consulting. Mr. Shiva Kumar R has good exposure for preparing quality procedures, validation and approval. He also performs process quality audits. A Senior trainer for for NDT and Welding training courses for programs at training centre and at customer locations.

Shiva Kumar R, holds Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore-India. He has been Awarded as ‘Distinguished alumni of MSRIT’ for the year 2022.
